QUETTA: Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi has said that the coalition government is united under the leadership of Jam Kamal Khan Alyani and the chief minister has the powers to remove any member of the coalition partners from or induct into the government.

Speaking at a press conference along with spokesman for the Balochistan government Liaquat Ali Shahwani and Secretary of Finance Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, here on Wednesday, he confirmed withdrawal of portfolio of health ministry from PTI leader Nasibullah Marri and refuted rumours about withdrawing the portfolio of education minister from the CM’s Adviser Mohammad Khan Lehri.

“The chief minister has the power to choose or remove any MPA from the coalition partners,” Mr Buledi said.

He said that after returning from London, Mr Alyani would take further decisions in this regard.

Referring to the news about transfer of provincial funds to the federal government to pay the instalment of IMF loans, he said there was no truth in the news.

He said opposition parties were misleading the people over this news published in a newspaper.

The news was not correct, he said, adding that the Balochistan Awami Party-led government would never compromise on development funds of Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, spokesperson of provincial government Liaquat Shahwani said the government would never let a single penny to be lapsed in Balochistan.

“The provincial government is utilising all resources for the development of Balochistan and to provide maximum facilities to the masses,” Mr Shahwani added.

Mr Buledi also rejected allegations of opposition parties that ministers were interfering in constituencies of opposition members.
