KARACHI: A 47-year-old man was found shot dead in the Sohrab Goth area on Monday, according to police.

They added that the body of Mohammed Ashraf was recovered from bushes in Ayub Goth. He sustained three bullet wounds. Besides, the body also bore torture marks.

Area SHO Abdul Rasool Siyal said that Ashraf was running a car rental service and had taken someone to Hyderabad. It appeared that he was killed when he returned to the city since his car was also missing, he added. The family told the police that they had no enmity with anyone. The victim was a resident of an apartment complex on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road.

‘Missing’ girl found drowned

A minor girl, who had gone missing around three days ago, was found drowned in Cattle Colony on Monday.

Police said that the body of Laiba, 8, was recovered from a water tank of a cattle pen.
