DADU, Aug 11: On the directives of the Chief Election Commissioner, an FIR was registered against the in-charge of the Thrari Mohabbat investigation police on Wednesday night for illegally detaining three relatives of an ADP candidate for the seat of nazim of Bothro.

On the complaint of Khairpur Nathan Shah returning officer Hassan Ali Kalwar, the Thrari Mohabbat police registered the FIR against investigation wing in-charge SI Altaf Hussain Arain for detaining Gul Bahar Dahar, Amir Dahar and Rustam Lakhair.

The detainees had been recovered in a raid by the returning officer three days ago.

BAIL: The first additional sessions judge, Sikandar Ali Leghari, on Thursday granted bail to three ADP nazim candidates and six local PPP leaders.

The candidate for the seat of nazim of the Radhan union council, Ghulam Dastagir Gorar; candidate for the seat of nazim of Gahi Mahessar, Mehmood Mahessar; and the candidate for the seat of nazim of Qazi Arif, Qazi Wajid; and PPP leaders Qurban Ali Lakhiar, Mumtaz Ali Lakhiar, Hakim Ali, Sadar Dahar, Malook Janwari and Wazir Dahar will have to deposit security of Rs30,000 each.
