HARIPUR: A teenage boy was killed in a road accident on Dheenda Road here.

The police quoted witnesses as saying that Asad Pervez of the Model City Mohallah Khoo suffered critical injuries after a recklessly-driven rickshaw ran into his motorcycle.

He was shifted to the Haripur Trauma Centre but succumbed to head injuries.

The police said rickshaw driver Naveed also suffered minor injuries.

Also, a family was looted in Mohallah Awaisia Pandak here.

Lehrosh told police that four masked men entered his house at around 2am from the roof, held the family at gunpoint and made off with gold ornaments, LCD, mobile phones and electronic goods.

The police began investigation after securing recordings of security cameras installed in the house.

Meanwhile, the residents complained about poor repairs to the Railway Road here.

Ahmad Din of Mohallah Eidgah said the NHA had begun the repair of Railway Road from Chowk Panian to Central Jail Chowk two weeks ago but left it incomplete.

He said the poor planning of engineers had inconvenienced pedestrians, shopkeepers and residents.

Ahmad Shah, a shopkeeper, demanded the early construction of the roadside drains.
