LAHORE: Pakistan Services Volleyball team won bronze medal by defeating Qatar in the third-position match at the World Military Games in China.

According to an announcement made by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Pakistan won 3-0. The set scores were 25-20, 25-21, 25-16. Pakistan had lost to China 3-0 set as Qatar lost to Korea in semi finals.

“It is a matter of great satisfaction for lovers of volleyball in Pakistan that the game is progressing at world level, “PVF president Mohammad Yaqoob said. Winning the third position in World Military Games, a great world competition in which ten 100 countries were participating at Wuhan is a matter of pride for Pakistan, he added.

Pakistan services team reached the semi-final after defeating strong teams of the Netherlands, Canada and Iran. All these teams have higher rankings than Pakistan.
