PESHAWAR: Awami National Party central president Asfandyar Wali Khan has expressed concerns over hospitalisation of opposition leaders and termed it victimisation by the government.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that hospitalisation of PML-N and PPP leaders was a serious matter. He said that their illnesses were used to pressurise them.

Mr Khan expressed concerns over hospitalisation of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and arrest of his son-in-law. He said that the news about Asif Ali Zardari’s health was also a matter of deep concern.

The ANP leader said that government was making fun of their situation as its spokesperson said in statement that Nawaz Sharif was healthy. He said that it was victimisation of the Nawaz family and showed that it was due to personal vendetta of the government and nothing else.

Mr Khan also tweeted to express his concerns about the health of PML-N and PPP leaders. He said that those using National Accountability Bureau to victimise the political leaders and opponents would be held accountable for their actions.

He said that government looked panicked as the days of Azadi March were nearing. The government was using the illness and treatment as a pressure tactics to make Azadi March a failure, he said.

He added that ANP stood by Nawaz and Zardari families and condemned the victimisation of the two political families.
