SHEIKHUPURA: A minor was killed and five of her family members injured after the roof of their house caved in.

The family of farmer Muhammad Ali was sleeping in the corridor of their house in Salar Bhattian village when it suddenly caved in late on Friday. The roof was in a dilapidated condition and they could not get it repaired allegedly due to financial constraints.

Six family members were shifted to hospital where Ansa, 9, died, while the remaining were stated to be in a serious condition. Khanqah Dogran police were looking into the matter.

A 17-year-old boy, who went missing two days ago, was found dead in a field near Jhandiala Sher Khan on Saturday.

Farmer Ilyas submitted an application to the police that his son had gone to work two days ago, but did not return. His body was spotted by some passersby in a field adjacent to his village Kairwala near Jhandiala Sher Khan. He demanded the police high-ups trace the culprits as soon as possible.
