QUETTA: Balochistan police personnel are an asset for the province since they have rendered tremendous sacrifices in the fight against terrorists, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, Commander, Southern Command, said at a luncheon hosted by the province’s inspector general on Friday.

Mohsin Hassan Butt, and here on Friday, he said that the sacrifices rendered by police Jawans and officers ensured economic and development activities in the province.

“They not only restored peace and order but also protected life and property,” the outgoing commander said at the reception hosted in his honour.

“Balochistan as well as the country are on the road to prosperity thanks to joint efforts by the army and police,” the Commander, Southern Command, said.

Gen Asim Bajwa said Balochistan police had confronted the scourge of terrorism with a firm resolve and stuck to its mission with courage and tenacity.
