KARACHI: Ahmer Bin Nasir slammed another century in the third All-Karachi Champions Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament while inspiring Shalimar CC to a narrow eight-run win against Rangoon­wala CC at the Al-Mansoora Ground here the other day.

Shalimar CC rattled up 214-5 as Ahmer, the younger brother of first-class player Saeed Bin Nasir, bludgeoned 12 sixes and nine boundaries during his hurricane 66 -ball innings of 137 to follow 117 he made against Al-Amir Colts in the first match.

Ashir Ahmed contributed a 27-ball 32 (four fours) and helped man-of-the-match Ahmer put on 106 in their first-wicket partnership, Kashif Iqbal hit a 12-ball 21 (two fours and one six).

Slow left armer Imran Ali captured for wickets for 31 runs in a fine spell.

Rangoonwala CC made a spirited response to the tough chase Imran followed up his excellent bowling with a brilliant 40-ball knock of 74 which was studded with eight boundaries and four sixes.

Akhtar Khan contributed 30 off 23 balls (two sixes and one four) as he and Imran added 92 for the fourth wicket but their heroics proved futile as Rangoonwala finished at 206-7.

Young spinning all-rounder Mohammad Asad bagged three wickets for 49 runs.
