LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore, on Sunday announced the names of position holders of the Secondary School Certificate (annual) examination 2019.

Danish Athar of Crescent Model Higher Secondary School for Boys, Shadman Colony, got first position by bagging 1,092 marks; Anoosha Zakaria of the Punjab Girls High School, 537-K Johar Town; Syed Hassan Abbas of Lahore Reliance Boys High School, 82 Zeenat Block, Allama Iqbal Town; and Muhammad Affan Amir of American Lycetuff H/S for Boys 1-Toheed Park, Gulshan-i-Ravi shared second position with 1,090 marks.

Saba Iqbal of Divisional Public Girls Higher Secondary School, Model Town; and Saira Hayat of Govt Model Girls High School, Model Town; shared third position with 1,089 marks. BISE Chairman Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Controller of Examinations Nasir Jameel and Secretary Rehana Riaz jointly announced the names of the position holders at the BISE Lahore office.

In science group among boys, Danish Athar of Crescent Model Higher Secondary School for Boys, Shadman Colony; got first position by scoring 1,092, Syed Hassan Abbas of Lahore Reliance Boys High School, 82 Zeenat Block, Allama Iqbal Town; and Muhammad Affan Amir of American Lycetuff H/S for Boys 1-Toheed Park, Gulshan-i-Ravi; shared second position with 1,090 marks while Muhammad Ghufran Baig of Qazi Grammar Boys High School, Koh-i-Noor Housing Scheme, Qanichi; Ammar Nadeem of Ali Public Boys High School, Shahjahan Road, Rehmanpura; and Hassan Akbar Goraya of Govt High School No 1, Shahkot, Nankana Sahib; shared third position with 1,087 marks.

In science group among girls, Anoosha Zakaria of the Punjab Girls High School, 537-K Johar Town; got fist position with 1,090 marks, Saba Iqbal of Divisional Public Girls Higher Secondary School, Model Town; and Saira Hayat of Govt Model Girls High School, Model Town; shared second position with 1,089 marks. Kanwal Fatima of Divisional Public Girls Higher Secondary School, Model Town; Eman Shafquat of Cathedral Girls High School No 4 Block P-I, Model Town Extension; and Arhama Shahid of EFA Girls High School (Tayyaba Campus), Ahlu Stop, Main Ferozepur Road, Kahna Nau; shared third position with 1,088 marks.

In humanities group among boys, Usman Iftikhar of Muslim Public Model High School for Boys, Sheikhupura, bagged first position by obtaining 988 marks, Mubashir Liaquat of Govt Islah-i-Moashra High School, Shadbagh; second with 982 marks and Wahab Yousaf, a private student, and Muhammad Abbas of Govt High School, Jia Bagga; shared third position with 981 marks.

Among girls in the group, Sehrish Afzal of Pak Angels Foundation Girls High School, 178-A, Gulshan-i-Ravi, stood first by bagging 1,042 marks, Malaika of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Trust Model High School for Girls, Siddiquepura, Lahore Cantt second with 1,034 marks and Yasmeen Fozia of Govt Girls High School, Salamatpura, third with 1,028 marks.

The BISE chairman said the comprehensive result of Class 10 would be announced on Monday (today) at a ceremony chaired by Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Hamayun Sarfraz at a local hotel. He said the parents and teachers of the students would be present at the ceremony and the board would also award cash prizes and commendatory certificates to the position holders.

He said the comprehensive result would be available at the board’s official website www.biselahore.com and it could also be checked by sending roll number of the student at 80029.
