GWADAR/QUETTA: The Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-A) on Tuesday blocked Sariab road and other streets for several hours in Panjgur and Quetta in protest against unannounced loadshedding.

The protesters burnt tyres and put barricades and boulders to record their protest. The road blockage caused traffic jams in the provincial capital, while schoolchildren faced difficulties.

They marched on main roads of the two cities and chanted slogans against the Quetta Electric Supply Company and the provincial government. They demanded immediate end to loadshedding.

In Panjgur, hundreds of motorcyclists took out a rally against unannounced electricity breakdown. BNP-A’s district organiser retired Capt Mohammad Hanif Baloch, Reham Dil Baloch and Akbar Baloch marched on streets of the city and addressed the protesters in front of Panjgur DC office.
