ISLAMABAD: Comman­der of the Polish Armed Forces Lt Gen Jaroslaw Mika on Tuesday visited the General Headquarters and met Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.

“Issues of mutual interest including defence, training and security cooperation between the two armies were discussed,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement about the meeting.

“Visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s professionalism, efforts in fight against terrorism and contributions towards regional peace and stability,” it added.

The Polish commander laid a wreath at the Yadgar-i-Shuhada and was presented the guard of honour.
