KARACHI: A small three-race card has been drawn for the Gymkhana race meeting which resumes after a fortnight at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

It may be mentioned that the weekly races could not take place last Satu­rday and was cancelled due to lack of entries and scorching heat.

A fewer 19 horses have entered the competition and are expected to vie for honours barring last-minute withdrawal(s).

The third race which is the day’s feature event, scale order I, II, III and IV to be contested over four furlongs, has a field of seven horses.

The second race which is the supporting event, scale order VI and VII, has also similar number of horses in the fray.

The opening race will see five horses battling for honours for a distance of four furlongs.

According to schedule, the first race gets into action at 4pm.
