GHOTKI, July 13: President Gen Pervez Musharraf visited the Sarhad railway station on Wednesday and expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property in the train accident.

The president described the loss of lives as a national tragedy and said he shared the pain and grief of the bereaved families.

He inspected the crash site from the overhead bridge of the railway station where three trains crashed into each other. The GOC Pano Aqil Cantonment and high officials of railway briefed the president about the tragedy.

Expressing his sorrow, the president ordered a high-level inquiry into the accident and directed the authorities to provide proper treatment to the injured.
