Student raped by van driver, accomplice in Layyah

LAYYAH: An intermediate student was allegedly raped by a van driver and his accomplice in the Fatehpur police jurisdiction.

The van driver routinely picked up a student ‘A’ from her home to drop her to college but she did not return. The perpetrators raped her and dropped her in front of a private clinic where she was administered treatment. A medico-legal report confirmed the rape.

On the report of her father, police registered a case 215/19 under section 376 II of PPC against the suspects.
DPO Attaur Rehman said police had arrested the suspects.
