GILGIT: Three people were killed when a passenger van hit them on Gilgit-Skardu road. The van (SKD 285) was going to Skardu from Gilgit via under-construction Gilgit-Skardu road.
According to the police, the passenger van hit three people who were sitting along roadside on the bank of the Indus River in Roundu area. All the three fell into the Indus River. They were identified as Shams, Johar and Ibrahim, all residents of Roundu. Johar and Shams drowned in the river while Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital.
