QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Information Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi has said that the Balochistan government is taking all steps for development in the province.

Talking to journalists here on Sunday, the minister rejected allegations of opposition parties about development projects and said that they were just misleading the masses despite knowing the coalition government’s performance.

He claimed that the government had spent Rs27 billion on various development schemers under the Public Sector Development Programme and by the end of the current financial year another Rs30bn would be released for different projects.

Mr Buledi said the coalition government led by the Balochistan Awami Party had decided to spend Rs500 million on Subakzai, Mangi and Basul dams.

He said the previous rulers focused only on media coverage and not development.
