LAHORE: Foreign Minister Mian Arshad Hussain today [March 14] said that Pakistan has taken a very serious view of the extremely unjust Indian plans to settle non-Kashmiris on the properties left by the Kashmiri refugees who had migrated to Pakistan. He was commenting on the resentment expressed by Sheikh Abdullah, the Kashmiri leader, on the reported Indian plan.

The Foreign Minister also told the newsmen ... that the Tashkent Declaration in no way precluded the reference of the Kashmir dispute to the Security Council. When a newsman asked him whether the Government was considering bringing the Kashmir dispute once again before the Security Council, the Foreign Minister said the Pakistan Government was keeping the Great Powers informed regarding this dispute.

The Minister also disclosed that boundary demarcation work in Rann of Kutch area was going on schedule. He said survey officers of Pakistan and India would meet soon to review the progress and finalise arrangements for the erection of pillars in the demarcated boundary. He said this work would be completed by June next. Answering another question, the Foreign Minister said that a secretariat-level meeting between Pakistan and India will be held in Islamabad on March 21 to discuss Farraka dam issue. — Correspondent
