KARACHI: The Snow Dome Cup figures prominently in a four-race card that has been drawn for the Gymkhana race meeting which resumes after a fortnight at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

As per long practice, the last week’s races were put off enabling owners, riders, horses, turf accountants and equine fraternity to travel Lahore for the Pakistan Derby that took place on Sunday.

The cup race which is last in racing order, is also days feature event, combined scale order I, II and III and will go over five furlongs. It has a small field of five horses.

Half-a-dozen horses are in line to face starter in an earlier supporting race, scale order III and IV and will be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The first and second races have nine contestants apiece. The first race will be run over four furlongs while the second four-and-a-half furlongs.

Meanwhile, the first race gets into action at 3pm.
