PESHAWAR: International player Hamza Niaz defeated Huzaifa Zahid in the U-15 final of the National Junior Squash Championships here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Friday.

Dominating the match throughout, Hamza easily overpowered his PAF mate 11-5, 11-8, 11-7 to claim the trophy.

In the U-11 final, Ibrahim Zeb beat his PAF colleague Abdullah Zaman 8-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-7.

Earlier, in the semi-finals Abdullah defeated Hamza Sajjad of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11-8, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9 while Ibrahim overcame Umair Arif of PAF 11-6, 11-8, 11-4.

Meanwhile, Sakhi Ullah smothered his PAF colleague Abdullah Nawaz 11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 11-9 in the U-13 decider.

In the semi-finals Abdullah beat Fawad of KP 11-3, 11-2, 11-7 while Sakhi Ullah got the better of Arsh 3-0.

In the girls U-15 decider, Sana Bahadar defeated Maira Khan 11-7, 11-9, 11-8.

Current national champion Komal Khan overwhelmed Nimra Aqeel 11-8, 7-11, 11-9, 11-8 in the girls U-19 final.

Member Provincial Assembly from Chitral Wazirzada was the chief guest on this occasion. The MPA announced Rs150,000 as cash prizes for all five categories.
