LAHORE: No play was possible on the opening day of the four-day J.A. Zaman Memorial Open Golf Championship, due to wet condition of the course at Lahore Gymkhana here on Thursday.

The events for senior professionals and amateurs the were on the cards for the first day, but heavy overnight rains made it impossible for the organisers to start the competitions.

On the demand of the golfers, the organisers, however, decided to allow them to start their two-day contest from Friday.

Now as per revised programme, the seniors will play nine holes on Friday and as many on Saturday. Also competing on Friday will be 100 leading professional golfers of the country.
