RAWALPINDI: Two labourers were hospitalised with multiple injuries after the roof of the dilapidated Ratta Amral police station caved in on Sunday.

The incident happened when the two men were trimming bushes on the roof top of the station.

None of the police staff were reported hurt in the accident.

The injured labourers, Asad Mehmood and Mohammad Irfan, were moved to the District Headquarters Hospital and are said to be stable now.

The police have been working on improving the condition of several stations, including Ratta Amral, Morgah, Chontra, Pirwadhai, Kotli Sattian and Kallar Syedan.

On Friday, the roof of the entrance hall of a colonial style police station in Chauntra collapsed in the rain though no one was reported hurt.
