LAHORE: US President Donald Trump is once again laying a trap for the Pakistani rulers who should be prudent enough to understand this, says Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq.

Speaking to the JI central consultative body, he reiterated that all worries would be over by switching to the Islamic economic system. He said the US and Trump were totally unreliable because they announced working hand in hand with Pakistan only when it suited them.

“This game has been going on for about half a century and the Pakistani rulers have been deceived by Washington every time. It’s high time the rulers walked out of this self-deception and bade farewell to the US,” he said.

Mr Haq said the JI’s drive against corruption was continuing and it would ultimately bear fruit.

He exhorted the party workers to establish the system of Salat (prayers). He said that in fact this was the job of the government but no dispensation had paid any attention to it.
