THATTA: Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP) chairman Dr Qadir Magsi and three other persons accompanying him were injured in a road accident on Saturday evening.

It was learnt that Dr Magsi had parked his Vigo at a section of the Thatta-Hyderabad road near Bholari town to fix a fault when it was hit by an Suzuki pick-up coming from the opposite side.

Sources said that Dr Magsi was returning to Hyderabad after attending the condolence meeting for a senior journalist and president of the Thatta Press Club, Usman Memon, when his vehicle met with the accident.

A senior STP office-bearer, Syed Jalal Shah, told Dawn that the condition of Dr Magsi was stable. He and the other injured victims were taken to a Hyderabad hospital for treatment, he added.
