APROPOS a photograph in Dawn’s Southern region section (Dec 6), captioned: “A schoolboy pulls his motorcycle by burning debris in Liaquat Colony after residents protested against insanitation”.

I wonder whether one should be concerned about the sanitation conditions in Hyderabad or the fact that the residents are part of environmental issues by burning the same rubbish that they want off the roads.

The disturbing truth is that an underage young boy is allowed by his family, the city government and the authorities concerned to drive a vehicle creating life-threatening situations for himself and others.
