MARDAN: President of Mardan Press Club Lutfullah Lutf and other local journalists here on Friday demanded of the high-ups of health department to take departmental action against medical superintendent of the district headquarter hospital, Mardan, Dr Latif and his clerk for their alleged misbehaviour with a local journalist, Imran Younas.

As per details, Mr Younas, who is also a member of Mardan Press Club, visited the office of Dr Latif and filed an application with him under the Right to Information Act for provision of some necessary information.

Mr Younas said that Dr Latif and his clerk clearly refused to give him the relevant information though they were bound to give the said information to him under the Right to Information Act. He alleged that the MS and his clerk also misbehaved and gave threats to him when he insisted on provision of the information.

When contacted, Dr Latif rejected the allegations levelled against him and his clerk. However, the local journalists have demanded of the high-ups of health department to take departmental action against the MS and his clerk.
