Cop injured as grenade hurled at Tank checkpost

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A policeman suffered injuries after unidentified attackers hurled a grenade at a police checkpost near a shrine in Tank district on Saturday.

Police officials said the grenade exploded on the premises of the checkpost, injuring a constable, Fidaullah.

The injured was shifted to a hospital.

Following the attack, police and security personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.

Further investigation into the incident is under way, the police said.
