Army, Wapda set title decider

KARACHI: Army and Wapda set up a title clash in the 14th National Softball Championship underway at the Government Girls Degree College in Quetta.

Meanwhile, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa teams will clash in the third place play-off.

In matches played on Saturday, Khyber Pakh­tunkhwa defeated Balo­c­h­istan by two runs. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa scored 18 runs in five innings. Hina Farooq was the top scorer for the side with four runs. In response, Balochistan scored 16 runs.

Punjab defeated Sindh by 10 runs. Punjab scored 19 runs in their five innings. Aqsa, Saba, Kiran and Rabia scored three runs each for the side. Sindh scored only nine runs in their five innings.

Meanwhile, Wapda thrashed Balochistan 15-0. Madiha Junior was the top-scorer for the side with three runs.
