RAWALPINDI: Full face helmets have been made necessary for appearing in driving tests for motorcyclists and for clearing tickets from the City Traffic Police (CTP).

The traffic police and the Dolphin Force have launched a crackdown against driving motorcycles without wearing helmets.

A CTP spokesperson said anyone who wants a motorcycle driving test must have a helmet with them.

City Traffic Officer Mohammad bin Ashraf said motorcyclists should wear helmets for their own safety and that they would have to face legal action otherwise.

He also directed senior traffic wardens, and circle in-charges to submit a daily report on the campaign against motorcycle riders who do not use helmets.
