SUKKUR, June 19: The People’s Party Parliamentarians has announced a resistance movement in the wake of the proposed division of the district. This was decided in a meeting held at the residence of MNA Khursheed Shah on Sunday.

The MNA alleged that Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim wanted to divide the district to please the MQM.

He said the PPP had decided to launch a phase-wise resistance movement from June 21. MPA Dr Nasrullah Baloch, Ali Anwar, Jawed Shah and Jamil Sahito attended the meeting.—BoC
