Shehzad’s fate in limbo after Sethi goes

LAHORE: The fate of Ahmed Shehzad hangs in the balance as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have yet to announce punishment after the discarded national team opener was found positive in a dope test.

With Najam Sethi resigning as the PCB chairman last week and Prime Minister Imran Khan just announcing nominees for the next board chief election, Shehzad’s case is pending after completion of all procedures.

Shehzad, who opted against challenging the results of the dope test conducted by WADA, now have to wait for the verdict after the new chairman is elected.

In a smart move, Shehzad has hired the services of prominent lawyer and political figure Babar Awan, whose is a PTI member, to raise hopes of a minimum punishment.

Hard luck Shehzad, you should have thought very carefully before taking drugs and subsequent dope test - now you have to wait and face it's consequences. This is life and it seems your cricketing career is over - try something else.

He has an attitude problem. Also he needs to work in his consistency for the team. Every player needs to play for the team goals not for himself according to the situation. He should go in domestic and improve himself as we have great young talent whom deserves a chance in team.

He has been ample amount of Chances and Time to prove himself and cement his permanent slot in the team BUT through World Class Performances on regular basis NOT by generating FB Posts , Twitter Videos etc etc. He is perfect for the Men Modeling not for Playing Gentlemen Game ( Cricket ).
