Flowers, whether real or artificial, always add beauty to a place and happiness to the one they are presented to.

With the festive season of Eid is around the corner, I am giving you a DIY on making beautiful and very easy crepe paper flowers which you can place anywhere in the house or present anyone if you may like.

Things you need:

  1. Crepe paper sheets, of two or three colours of your choice.

  2. Craft wire (you will need 6-inches for each flower)

  3. Scissors

  4. Scale

  5. Two green paper sheets

  6. Glue stick

Directions:

  1. Cut four, 12-inch long and four-inch wide crepe sheet pieces, as in pictures 2 and 3.

  2. Hold all together, then fold inward and backward (from the shorter side of the paper) as shown in pictures 4 and 5.

  3. Cut a six-inch piece of craft wire, tie it on the folded crepe sheet in the middle; picture 6.

  4. Gently separate all the layers from one another, pictures 7 and 8. You will notice the flower taking its shape, but it’s not done yet.

  5. Repeat steps from 1 to 4 to make four such flowers in the same way, picture 9.

  6. Now carefully tie the wires of all four flowers together from the bottom, picture 10.

  7. Trim the flower to make it round and even and put it aside, picture 11.

  8. Cut six-inch long leaf from the green paper and put it aside, picture 12.

  9. Make paper reeds from the remaining green paper. To do that cut the paper two-inch wide and 12-inch and fold it diagonally, picture 13.

  10. Secure the end part by pasting glue, picture 14.

  11. Now paste the leaf on one side of the reed, and insert the flower from one of the openings of the reed, picture 15.
