APROPOS the article ‘Students teach students in new outreach programme’ (May 16). A student outreach programme has been launched in Rahim Yar Khan to improve the quality of education, especially of science. But there is no particular focus on other important aspects of life, such as how to gain financial stability.

From nurseries to universities, students are given scientific education, but deprived of financial education. With the passage of time, poverty is increasing not only because of a lack of job opportunities but also because of incompetency in financial education. People do not know how to earn money and conduct business. The government must take this issue seriously and make some changes in the education system by launching a separate course related to finance.
