RAWALPINDI: The Civil Defence on Wednesday issued challans to four commercial buildings including marriage halls for not adopting fire safety measures on their premises.

The team, led by District Officer Civil Defence Sanjeeda Khanum, visited Murree Road, G.T Road, Peshawar Road and adjoining areas and found Al-Miraj Hotel, Golden Marriage Hall, Blue Sky Hotel, Green Palace Hotel and Sada Bahar Marriage Hall near Committee Chowk without fire safety equipment.

She asked the management to take safety measures on the premises otherwise, the Civil Defence team would seal their outlets within a month. She said that the government was taking measures to make the environment safe for the people who visited marriage halls and hotels.
