TRIPOLI: About two thousand square yards of land which was provided by the Second Caliph Hazrat Omar for a beautiful mosque in occupied Jerusalem, has now been taken over by Israeli occupation authorities.

According to reports reaching here [July 16] the plot will now be used for new Jewish settlements under the “Greater Israel” plan. Jews may build a synagogue on this piece of land.
