MULTAN: Robbers plundered Rs6.9 million from a private bank in Multan’s Industrial Estate area on Wednesday.

Police said two masked men entered the bank and held up the employees while their companion stayed outside.

The robbers injured guard Abdul Aleem over resistance by hitting him with his pistol.

Police said cash was brought from State Bank to the UBL Industrial Estate Branch some time before the robbery.

SSP Operations Tauseef Haidar told the media that the robbers took away Rs6.9 million by a car.

Police collected the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident besides the finger prints of the robbers from the crime scene.
