RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared Ring Road Residencia project illegal.

According to Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), RDA Jamshaid Aftab, a legal action is being initiated against the housing scheme under section Punjab Private Housing schemes and land subdivision rules 2010 as it has not been approved by the authority.

He directed the administration of the housing scheme to immediately stop illegal advertisement campaign for the Ring Road Residencia.

He also advised the general public not to invest in any illegal/unauthorized housing schemes and commercial projects which have been declared illegal by the RDA.

The RDA spokesman Hafiz Mohammad Irfan said that Director General (DG) RDA had directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against all illegal housing schemes, illegal/unauthorized commercial and residential construction activities.
