SARGODHA: Chaudhry Mumtaz Ahmad Kahilon and his son Abdullah succumbed to pressure by the PTI chairman, who visited their house on Monday, and announced withdrawal of their nomination for NA-90.

The father-son duo also assured PTI nominee Dr Nadia Aziz of full support in the elections.

Mr Kahilon had allegedly announced a motorcycle against 10 votes and claimed that he had spent about Rs100m on his election campaign. He was an aspirant for a ticket and upon refusal, resigned from party offices. Imran Khan tried to convince Kahilon who sought time to consult his supporters.

Rao Mudassar, another party candidate and supporter of Mr Kahilon, also decided to withdraw from the election race and support party candidate.
