HARIPUR: Two people, including a brother of MMA’s district office-bearer, were shot and killed in separate incidents here, police said on Saturday.

Khanpur police quoted Maulana Mir Afzal, Haripur deputy general secretary of MMA, as saying that his younger brother, Mohammad Sajawal, 55, was sleeping in the courtyard of his house in Khoi Bagran village, when unknown persons opened fire on him after climbing the roof of the house at sehr.

The complainant said Sajawal died instantly after suffering bullet wounds in the head.

Police said the murder was result of an a family feud.

The second murder was reported from Nathay Parr village of Beer union council, where unknown assailants shot dead Amir on the night between Friday and Saturday. The motive behind the murder was not known, police said.
