DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified gunmen abducted two personnel of law enforcement agencies while two people, including a police constable, were wounded in separate firing incidents on Thursday night and Friday, respectively.

Officials said that around 15 gunmen abducted a policeman and a soldier of Frontier Corps (Balochistan) who were watching a volleyball match in Kolachi area late on Thursday night. Both officials were on leave.

Witnesses said that armed men riding on motorcycles encircled the ground and took away two law enforcers from the ground. The abducted personnel were identified as Irfanullah and Abdul Wakeel.

Police and army personnel started search operation in the area. One official claimed that a hideout of the miscreants had been identified.

Meanwhile, two people, including a policeman, were wounded in gun attacks in the area. In the first incident, unknown men opened fire at police official identified as Qaiser Nawaz who was going to the University Police Station for joining duty. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital. In another incident, gunmen riding on motorcycle opened fire at milk seller named Saleem on Deraban Road on Friday. The armed men also snatched mobile phone and cash from Saleem and ran away. Police have registered the case against unknown attackers.
