Murad vacates CM House, returns protocol

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah vacated the Chief Minister’s House last Saturday.

His family shifted to their private residence in Defence Housing Authority.

The measures were taken as the tenure of the incumbent government would complete on the night of May 28, after which a caretaker government will take over to hold general election.

After shifting his family to their private residence, the chief minister also returned police protocol.

He is currently only using minimum security for his movement to attend his office at the CM House, to go to the assembly building and to discharge his official business elsewhere.

The CM is currently reviewing the ongoing development projects in the city, it emerged on Wednesday.

I was very hopeful that you would bring about a change in the govt but remaining in PPP itself is a sign of failure and corruption which nobody can change. I sincerely hope and wish that MQM and PPP to be eliminated from Sindh so we can have some space and stop listening to both cry babies. If you don’t have have authority then you should have stepped down

Let's remove him and PPP permanently from ruling Sindh. Nothing was done for Sindh during last 15 years of PPP government in Sindh. People became poor but politicians became rich and corrupt.

I don't know anything about his performance - but the fact that he has done the right thing by returning the privileges in a timely manner deserves praise. In most countries that is to be expected, but in this land of ours it really sets a standard. Praise must be given where it is due.

Excellent adoption of austerity. CM Syed Murad Ali Shah is a wonderful man, He has affinity towards common people. I remember when he took his charge as CM Sindh,he sat with common people and had tea together at Empress Market Saddar Karschi, and also at other people places. The PPP other leaders may follow his attitude, and understand the pulse of people, you just have bow down your ego, a little listening to people, a possible help, I can assure you all urban votes in your favor. PPP as today is the best choice of people, it has a track record of better rule of law, and it respects the pillars of state much more than other parties.

We are not sure that the CM might have refurbished his personal house during this shifting being the CM Office on official expenses. This happens in Pakistan only.
