KARACHI: Sindh Excise Department has collected Rs53.052 billion in revenue during the first 10 months of 2017-18, compared to Rs47.283bn in the corresponding period of FY17.
The provincial minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, disclosed these figures on Tuesday in a meeting attended by high officials of the department. He said that Rs5.872bn was recovered on account of motor vehicles tax, Rs40.863bn through infrastructure cess, Rs312.489 million from professional tax, Rs174.272m cotton fee and Rs1.729m in property tax.
