SINCE the dramatic upsurge in the popularity and political fortunes of PTI chief Imran Khan, total confusion and anxiety is prevailing in the PML-N camp. In a bid to support their beleaguered leader, the supporters of Nawaz Sharif have been casting aspersions on the private life of his political rival.

Now that a Supreme Court bench has disqualified Nawaz Sharif for life from holding any public office, he has become jittery and gone out of control in his denunciation of the court verdict. His daughter and political successor Maryam has gone even further in taking the much harder stance.

The upcoming general elections are scheduled in July and will be crucial in determining the future of the country’s political fortunes. Everybody is sure to pay the price of his or her crimes committed during their heyday.
