THIS is apropos the letter ‘Indian TV content’ (March 11). I agree with the writer and would like to know why these Indian plays are screened on almost all Pakistani channels.

Is it because these are superior to Pakistani plays in technique, literary contents and production value? Pakistani audience are subjected to torture of seeing Indian plays, most of which project ideas which even Indians refuse to digest.

It is pathetic the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority and Pakistani TV channels’ managements think that Pakistani audience, who appreciate Pakistani plays, will appreciate any Indian trash.
