KOHAT: Three persons, including two women, were killed and two injured when an over-speeding bus struck a car near Sumari on the Indus Highway here on Friday.

The car was going to Peshawar from Miramshah of North Waziristan Agency, when it was hit by a bus going to Karachi from Buner. The bus struck the car after getting out of driver’s control, dragging it along the road and turning into a twisted metal.

The people and police reached the scene and pulled out the dead by cutting the body of the car and shifted them to KDA teaching hospital.

The deceased were identified as Ms Gul Paroz, Ms Rehmia and Fazal Rehman of Mir Ali, Waziristan.

The injured, Taus Khan and Mir Wali, were riding the bus, which after hitting the car also crashed into a roadside tree. The Lachi police impounded both the vehicles and registered a case.
