ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has approached all the provincial tourism departments as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) to join hands for the promotion of tourism.

PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor told this agency that the response from the provinces was very positive and they wanted to collaborate with the PTDC for promotion of the tourism sector.

He said the provinces had requested to provide them plots for the construction of new motels at prominent tourist resorts.

He said the PTDC would provide all possible assistance to the provinces for promoting tourism.

He said the PTDC was planning to get land on the entry and exit points of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route.
