DI Khan DPO transferred

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on Wednesday transferred Dera Ismail Khan district police officer and directed him to report to the central police office (CPO).

A notification issued from the CPO said that DI Khan DPO Abdul Saboor (PSP, BS-18) had been transferred and asked to report to the police headquarters.

It said that director public relations, KP police, Dr Zahidullah (PSP, BS-18) had been transferred and posted as DPO in DI Khan.

It added that CTD DSP Waqar Ahmed (BS-17) was transferred and posted to the office of DG PR, KP police, at CPO.

The transfer of DI Khan DPO came in the wake of a mob attack on an alleged office of a militant group on Tuesday wherein scores of Ahmedzai Wazir tribesmen were protesting the death of their clan member at the hands of a Mehsud commander of the group.
