QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on Friday directed the deputy commissioner of each district in the province to hold public meetings on a weekly basis to address the problems faced by the people.

Addressing a public kutchery at the CM Secretariat, he said deputy commissioners should resolve the district-level issues, while only provincial-level inquiries should be forwarded to the provincial government.

Earlier, women, students and disabled from across the province called upon the chief minister and submitted applications related to the problems they were facing. Mr Bizenjo looked into the issues and issued orders on the spot.

“Addressing common people’s problems has been our priority. Our aim is to benefit public in every sector,” he said.

He urged government servants to ensure honest utilisation of public resources.
