GUJRANWALA: The ACE on Wednesday arrested a tehsildar and three members of a land mafia on fraud and corruption charges.
ACE Regional Director Farid Ahmad said brothers Zulfiqar Ali and Abid Hussain of Mandi Bahauddin submitted an application that their 16 kanal agricultural land had been transferred to a land mafia by a tehsildar and patwari through fake documents. An ACE inquiry found them guilty and the establishment registered a case and arrested Tehsildar Mehmood Bhatti and land grabbers Shafiq, Rafiq and Yasin. Patwari Sikandar had died a few days ago.
