SARGODHA: Two people allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy in Shahpur on Friday, police said. The teenage boy was going home from a seminary when the suspects, who were allegedly under the influence, took him to a poultry shed, forced him to consume alcohol and raped him. When his condition worsened, they fled leaving him behind.

A passersby alerted the police which shifted the boy to hospital and got him examined. Police registered a case and are after the suspects.

After the incident, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif sought the report of sexual assault with children from Sargodha police. According to a report, 14 cases of sexual assault were registered last year.

The report states a boy (8) was assaulted in Feb 20 in Thirkhanwala; a girl (5) was molested on March 25 in Chak No 125; a boy (5) was assaulted in Sultanpur; on March 28, an eight-year-old fell prey to a predator in Pathankot; on May 19, a boy (8) was assaulted by in Doda; on June 10, a pedophile struck a boy (10) in Chak No 51-SB; on June 17, a boy (10) fell prey to a molester in Jhawarian; on Aug 8, a boy (9) was assaulted in Chak No 67-SB; on Aug 9, another boy (9) was assaulted in Jhal Chakian; a boy (4) was raped in Phularwan; on Nov 24, a boy (6) was assaulted in Chak No 7-ML; on Nov 27, a predator struck a boy (5) in Kotmin and on Dec 27, a man assaulted a boy (8) in Phularwan.

TOBA TEK SINGH: The City police arrested on Friday a 16-year-old boy for allegedly attempting to rape a three-year-old boy of his village in chak 328 JB.
